I started this because I was starting to get from curvy to chubby to almost over weight. My mom is a health and work out freak who would call me fat from around 7th grade (the point where i went from skinny to curvy) So about she’s been calling me fat for about 5-7 years now and it really hadn’t bothered me all too much until the point where I noticed I was almost overweight, So I decided I need to start to get healthier, so this blog started out just for me to get inspiration from photos and quotes, so I could stay on track, and I mean I’m human so I would stop for a bit, gain what I lost back and fall off the wagon just to get back on track. It’s a process that you have to work on. And yes I do eat junk food I will try to eat healthier options of junk food if available, but yes, I do eat junk food on occasion. I’m religious (I’ve tied to keep this topic off this blog, just for the sake of not possibly offending anyone and to just keep everything neutral.) and I practice lent, which means I give things up for 40 days and I am currently giving up junk food, sweets, and any drink besides water or tea, so currently I’m not eating any junk food at all, but when I’m not practicing lent I do eat junk food every once in awhile. But even if you aren’t religious I think it’s a fun challenge for yourself to see if you can go 30 or 40 or 50 or even 60 days with out sweets, junk food, soda, chocolate, or whatever you wish to give up, it can be a challenge to yourself and your will power. It’s a day by day process. Btw my healthy option in the category of cookies is oatmeal raisin, I know you didn’t ask but just as an fyi (;
Currently crying, but I just have to keep working on it…..
you lowest is 115
My most recent work out routine has 3 exercises for each of those and you’ll need two 5lb weights, a 5lb medicine ball, and a 12-15lb weight. I run for half an hour to an hour depending on how sore I am that day and how much time I have. After running I do all of these sets 3 times each with each exercise for 30 seconds with a 10 second rest in between.
Set 1 - Arms: Hammer curls with 5lb weights, Standing back row with 5lb weights, and Tricep kick backs with 5lb weights.
Set 2 - Legs: Front lunges with 5lb weights, Squats with a side kick and a 12lb weight, and Side lunges with 5lb weights.
Set 3 - Abs: Crunches with a medicine ball, Russian twists with a medicine ball, and bicycles.
Some of you wanted to actually see my routine so I’ll try to do that this week, probably Thursday so just check back then for the video.
I’m not doing my regular workout though. We’re going to go to this hill/mountain that has these rock stairs that you basically have to do lunges to get up. Last time I did that my legs were so sore and I’ve been wanting to go back again for awhile! I’ll take a picture for you guys and post it when I get there!
Well that really all depends. Are you overweight? If so then wanting to lose weight isn’t bad if it could improve your health and health habits now and later on in your life. If you aren’t overweight or maybe have some baby fat still then I don’t think you should. Just start good habits now such as having an apple or orange instead of chips, or adding a little salad on the side of your plate for dinner, small things like that, as well as staying active and not just constantly sitting on a couch and you should be fine later on in life. Just remember your 12 so your going to be getting taller a lot of people I knew with bay fat maintained their weight for the most part (or didn’t gain that much weight)and kept getting taller making them look like they were losing weight when they weren’t. Your body will change because your growing. Just start healthy habits now and you won’t have to worry about your weight later on.
1. Heat on medium 1 carton of organic low sodium chicken broth
2. Cut up as many vegetables as you like!(Some may have to be cooked prior to putting them in) I used:
- zucchini
- string beans (steamed before hand)
- corn
- carrots
- potato (boiled before hand, add this one after the soup has boiled)
- parsley (just a little bit chopped up)
3. Add a little bit of salt and pepper for tast
4. Bring to a slight boil so the raw vegetables can cook, then bring to a simmer for 15-20 minutes.
5. Let it cool down a little and enjoy!
It’s really really simple it may just take time to chop and cut the vegetables so you may want to cut them all up before hand. (:
Each chapter is a healthy tip, here are a few:
- “Don’t eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn’t recognize as food.”
- “Avoid food products containing ingredient that a third-grader cannot pronounce.”
- “If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don’t.”
- “It’s not food if it arrived through the window of your car.”
- “Don’t eat breakfast cereals that change the color of the milk.”
- “Treat treats as treats.”
- “Eat sweet foods as you find them in nature.”
I dont think so because if you lose weight you’ll be underweight and unhealthy
You are at a healthy weight for your height so if you’re happy with your body then don’t lose weight if you did want to lose weight I’d say 5 to 10 lbs and your good, just remember to stay healthy if you choose to.
